Alicia Keys and Swizz Beats were married yesterday on the island of Corsica.


DJ Jazzy Jeff married the mother of his twins, Lynette Jackson over the weekend. The wedding took place in Jamaica. Congrads to Jeff and Lynette.

Beyonce is set to release a second fragrance. Putting a spin on the original "Beyonce Heat, "Beyonce Heat Ultimate Elixir" mixes spicy-floral Red Vanilla Orchid & Osmanthus petals with Cedarwood and Amber, finally adding Vanilla and Tonka Bean. The new fragrance will be avaible this September.

Actor Terrence Howard is joining the cast of the new NBC drama "Law & Order: Los Angeles". He will rotate w/ co-star Alfred Molina as deputy district attorney.


BET has reportedly recruited 'Girlfriends' star Tracee Ellis Ross to produce and star in a new comedy pilot called "Reed Between The Lines."
Tracee will play Dr. Clara Reed, a psychiatrist, wife and mom struggling with her job and a happy but chaotic homelife. Production starts August 11th. With this show, "The Game" and another scripted show produced by Queen Latifah called "Let's Stay Together," BET might actually have some quality television on its hands.
 

Jennifer Lopez is said to be replacing Ellen on American Idol. She is supposely becoming a permanent judge on the popular show. I hope this is true because I love J.Lo and I would love for her to be the new judge.

Former NBA Player Lorenzen Wright was found dead in Memphis. Wright was reported missing by his family on July 23. Earlier on Wednesday, police had announced that they had found a body in southeastern Memphis. Prayers goes out to his family.

Get ready to see a lot more Rihanna! Accoreding to E news, the pop sensation Rihanna, 22 is making her first official acting debut in the film based on a board game, Battleship. Scheduled for a May 2012 release, Battleship will put RiRi in the same flick as True Blood actor Alexander Skarsgard and Friday Night Light's Taylor Kitsch. The film will be directed by Peter Berg, who also directed Hancock.
